AIRPORT HOTELS&WHEELCHAIRS.;

AIRPORT HOTELS&WHEELCHAIRS."/>

I keep reminding myself that I must write something, just a little note. I must write to those sweet, pure amazing people who come to my show, listens to my music, visits my site, defends me in the vs battle… You know Im not a such a fan of twit twittering and all those things but still write, I scream, write! And then I try to sit down but then it all goes blank. I feel I am nothing more but a ray of light, jetting around the globe, sweating, screaming. I love it and I love you but you know, if the time before my record was the input to experience things and contemplate then everything that followed is the output so I cannot offer you any philosophical advice right now. All I can say is love as much as you can. Your heart can take it, you can love one and then another just as much but different. Let me tell you what I love right now, Terrence Malick. I've been a fan for a very long time and then I finally had one of those rare days off…. NO SHOW NO PRESS NO NOTHING GOD WHO AM I?
I went to the cinema with a loved one, holding hands the whole way through while watching Tree Of Life. It broke my heart in a very magical way, it was so beautiful it hurt. Every single picture spoke to my pounding heart. One line stuck with me ever since ( something like this?): You must love, if you don't love your whole life will pass you by.
T R U E, so T R U E. Time with a loved one creates memories and memories is what we will have in the end cause everything else will fade. Now that I think about it, for some of you your memory will fade too… Agh. But go for it, take the jump, make babies! Ha. And see the film off course.
…………………………………………………………
Back to the title. I landed from NY this morning at 7 am so I've been spending a whole day and evening alone at a airport hotel in Denmark waiting for my show to start, I go on at 1.30 am so I've been having a lot of time to think. Airport hotels has been something of a habit lately but its ok. This morning while checking in I bumped in to Tyler The Creator in a wheelchair. Very random but very amazing. I love his take on I Follow Rivers. So I will leave you with that. And a self portrait of a rainy window view.
Love always.

lykke li! i have been a fan since 2007 :) thank you for sharing your talent! I would like to use "i know places", a song with a strong emotional arch, for my documentary on an undocumented young woman. This is a small documentary with a huge impact, as we step aside from the issue of immigration and step into her world. Please let me know how I can legally use the song. Who I should contact, etc. My email is lauraxmoya@gmail.com. Thank you again for sharing with us your stuggles and translating it into beautiful sounds with hope.

    Hei Lykke!

Jeg ville bare si at konserten din på Roskilde var fantastisk! Å stå rett foran scenen og se deg spille alle sangene jeg elsker så mye var virkelig underbart. Da du spilte Unrequited Love føltes livet komplett. Tusen takk for det! Du, musikken din, dine dance moves og selve sceneshowet var en opplevelse for livet!

    Lots of love
    Marte

This reminds me of the core of a novel I'm working on, Soft Collisions [http://karldrinkwater.blogspot.com/2011/06/more-work-on-soft-collisions.html], the central focus on the importance of love and understanding. I think this scene sums it up.

    ----------

They were in the garden on a bright spring day and the little girl's mam was poorly. They sat on a bench together. Mam had a wool shawl around her shoulders, and Sam had snuggled up to her as Mam pointed out all the different types of birds that were visiting the garden, explaining that you could identify them by size, and colour, and song. Sam was fascinated.
"See that one over there, the one near the bird table, that's a male chaffinch."
    "The pink one?"
"Yes, the one with a pinky-brown belly and cheeks. If you're lucky you might hear one sing, a little descending song with a flourish at the end."
"Like that one that's singing now?"
"Hmm, no. I think that's a house sparrow, it sounds more like chirps and cheeps than a proper song, doesn't it? There, there! See the house sparrow on that branch? He's got a black bib on. And the top of the head is grey, just like the chaffinch."
"Oh yes, I can see him! Where's his girlfriend?"
Her reply was a tinkling laugh, and a quick cuddle.
"I love birds, Mam, they're so pretty aren't they?"
"Yes they are Samantha. But you can't love things just because they're pretty."
    "What do you mean?"
"You've got to love everything. Then you'll be a good person, and that will make you strong."
    "I don't understand."
"Okay, look at it this way my little angel. Life has a habit of throwing things at people, and some of them will hurt. You'll understand that better when you get older, I'm sorry to say. Well, some of the things it throws will be physical, but some of the blows will hurt your heart, and sometimes those are the ones that will hurt the most, and hurt for the longest. So to avoid the chance that your heart will break when it gets hurt, you've got to make it as strong as you can."
"How do I do that? Exercise it?"
"Yes! You're so clever aren't you?"
Sam felt a flush of pride whenever her mam said that. She loved it when she was praised.
"Because your heart is a muscle it needs exercising," she continued, "and you exercise it by using it. You love, always. You love your fellow creatures, from the greatest to the smallest, from the prettiest to the strangest. You love your fellow humans, from the meanest to the most good. You love the whole world and all of nature, and see the beauty of a winter's day in the valley as well as feeling the loving caress of a summer breeze on the hills. Do all that, always with love, and your heart will be so strong it can never be broken."
"I'll try, Mam. I try and love everything anyway."
"I know you do. You always have."

And she had been right. Sam always had felt a great affection for animals and people, and her mam's words encouraged that. And whether it was the decision to go vegetarian when she was twelve, or the joining of the student support service Nightline when she was at university, she tried to act on that affection.

PS Your registration form refused to accept UK as a place and had no option for Wales so I had to choose France. Not really there though, lovely place that it is.

PPS Love exists without having to have children. If you love the environment too then it is better to refrain from adding to the population burden!

...there are so many places, persons...for the doing, and yet so much light within for the being...no matter what the circumstances....the inner one NEVER serves you the yoyo "up&down" drama..while "doing-stimulants" (including desired ppl) will always take you twice as low than the "high" they delivered...the "doing" counts not on inner light but on chemical reactions...I think love is beyond cause/effect, it transcends it...this is why a lover is ready do suffer or defend with life their beloved...

Been thinking lately about how the tube makes
    voice shimmering, especially when compressed...Lylli
sounds kinda this way sometimes..like in the sixties. i
found a guitar in the street, maybe left by some
drunkard who found a better one, took of the head,
made another one with 11 tunning pegs and made
every string double except for the thinest (like lute),
then sang through this cheep behringer tube preamp "i
was bleeding in demise and it was raining stars
from the darkened skkkies above...you caaan't
leeeave yeeet mr Bradbury, remember mr Electricallll,
and the Illustrated man, and the Living wonderss,
remember how he said 'i never thought we'd live
forever...' we were nine years old, she went into the
lake and i waited and i waited, and i knew she wont
come out but waited by the lake....But nine years
later, in the circus carnival..i said: "where were you!"
as she appeared by the carousel "...all this time!" in
her summer flowers dress, she said "Aldebaran, and
Florida, and Alnair" and as the carousel was lit at dusk
by colored lights, she took my hand and pressed it to
her heart, as if to make me see she's solid and alive...
I was dazzled by the lights, i held her tiny flowery body
in my arms, i said then "tell me something from out of
there..." she pulled me close, my face got hurrled by
the breeze into her fragrant hair, and as she smiled: "if
you love me you have to believe me, if you love me
you have to believe me, if you love me you have to
believe me...remember mr Electrical, remember how
he said ..i never thought i'd live forever, let's do it,
let's try!...if you love me you have to believe me!" I
was bleeding in demise and it was raining stars from
the darkened skies above....""" ~R05in F4irfield
